A list of movies that I’ve seen since 2018 started. Some movies deserve a review — and this is where I’ll write them — but some movies don’t (maybe just some bullet points).

Might be a little out there, but probably the best movie I’ve seen in 2018 so far. So much is crammed into this two hour and thirty minute movie, so it’s a lot to take in, but at the same time, they manage to get you crying for one scene and then laughing your ass off in the next — then you feel bad because you shouldn’t be laughing after what just happened.
A mind-blowing movie — definitely watching again, in theatres.

A Silent Voice

One of the most beautiful anime movies I’ve ever seen. Not only does the film clearly depict complex emotions behind the most simple and common situations, but the plot is well developed and manages to capture your attention from the first 30 seconds.
Black Panther
Seen February 13.
Black Panther was enjoyable. The storyline was not very well-written, in my opinion, and the acting was passable. The concept and creation of Wakanda, however, was beautifully done.
Although Black Panther is important as an impact to our society by representing a break from the traditional superhero roles played by white people, I think the creators of the movie focused too much on sending a message about racism and ended up not giving a well-rounded movie.
Forever Young (无问西东)
